RIP Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane

It was hard to tell who seemed to be having more fun playing a bumbling comic villian, Best or Sorrell Booke as Boss Hogg.

Met him a couple of times. He lived in Hickory. Dpwn to earth guy. Saw him in a local version of On Golden Pond and he was great. RIP James Best.

And they were allowed to ad lib all the time. Much of what got on the screen of them was not written by the writers - they brought it out of each other.

There never was a bigger Dukes of Hazard fan than me. Sad to hear. Hopefully he's with the Lord now.

My wife ran into him at Hobby Lobby in Hickory. She was checking out behind him but didn't know him (not a Dukes of Hazzard watcher back in the day.) The cashier told her who it was.

I remember him from an old Twilight Zone episode where he woke up from his coffin and wouldn't believe he was dead. Now I can't believe it...

He will be missed. Loved him on The Andy Griffith Show. He appeared in a lot of old western TV shows such as Bat Masterson. RIP

Dang. He was so funny in Dukes of Hazzard (anybody else feel funny about spelling that one word?) and that was my favorite show at the time. Had a long term crush on Daisy just like Enos!

RIP Mr. Best, you certainly were.

Heels are Family!

He was awesome as Jim Lindsey on The Andy Griffith Show which each child should have to watch at least one episode a day to learn some great life lessons.

i've seen that andy griffith show a million times and never realized it was him.
in my defense i never watched the dooks of hazard that much or liked the dook of earl.
wonder why?
RIP Jim.
