Phil was undoubtedly a great coach.

Sure, he coached a lot of talent but you don't win as many rings as he did unless you are a great coach.
 
i think he's the best ego manager ever.

i could probably be persuaded to either side...i know this, he had the best collection of talent ever, twice.

Being the best ego manager is very underrated. Look at when he left the Lakers. They still had some talent with Kobe, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol, yet D'antoni couldnt get them to mesh. The year they were with out Jordan in the 90's, the Bulls won 55 games and lost to the Knicks in 7 games in the 2nd rd, who went on to lose to the rockets in the finals. To lose Jordan around 30 days before the season started made that year even more impressive.
