Hood should have had at least 20 carries last night. He should be our guy in the red zone...those 2 picks or you could say 3 should have never happened.

Hell yeah....the rock near the goal line...do or die time and Hood was standing on the edge of the field?

Hand him the ball and let him go. That dude was getting yardage.

And he was dying to go in. Standing right beside the coach waiting for the call. MW was horrible, but he looked good compare the job the "Hat" did coaching.

Never, never let a team hang around. It always bites you in the tail in the end.

Yep 1st and goal from the 9 a pass should be way down the list, also u may want your best player in the game.
This staff continues to over thank the gsme.

You all really could've used that missed pick-6 opportunity in the first half. I was hoping it wouldn't factor in the end, but MW's poor game made it so. Still, defense played pretty well and that has to have you feeling pretty good heading into the rest of the season. And keeping the reins on Hood....I agree that doesn't make much sense from where I sit.

Or under think. It seems that Fedora and/or Littrell remain under the delusion that at any second MW is going to bloom into a QB who makes coverage reads well and quickly and has passing touch.

MW is a 1 trick pony QB: run the ball with power between the tackles. If you have him to do that, then Hood is superfluous. Last night, Fedora/Littrell tried to give the ball to Hood enough while assuming that MW can do other things well.

They were wrong.

It would be great to see Trubisky get some snaps during this next cream puff game.

How can the coach not call Hood's number that close to the end zone? I wanted to cry when Hood decommitted from ND and last night showed why. That young man can carry the rock.

You give him the ball there at the end..even if he gets stood up or doesn't get much on the first 2 downs you still have 3rd for the throw or hell maybe even another run. 4 downs to get nine yards I take my chances with Hood any day. Just not very good play calling...you've got to go with your best option in that situation and he clearly was our best option last night.

Exactly. Elijah was brimming with confidence and it would have only added to that growing confidence if Fed had given him the rock down near the goal line and let him try to punch it in for the game winner. Poor play calling and even worse execution by our fifth year senior.

It really is frustrating to watch and remember. My 7-year old niece is watching with my brother and I and says "Why don't they let that guy run when it's close to the line he has to cross?" Why, indeed, dear?

Maybe Chizik needs to sit down with Fed like a coach sits down with a player and go over the tape of where he screwed up lol
