Sucks when you lose a kid like this.. but these are 18 yr old kids and they do change their minds. Perhaps this will open a door for another good player to come to Carolina
He got booted from his high school team recently, and there are suspicions of grades problems, so this was probably a mutual parting rather than a change of heart by Jones.
We can't afford to take risks on players with grade and character issues.
I imagine we'll hear more details, if he was indeed booted from his high school team, that doesn't bode well. NTL, I want kids who want to be at UNC. There are going to be X amount who change their minds and I'm fine with that. At least it occurred when we have plenty of time to replace him and he wasn't a DL!
I heard over the weekend that Jones was kicked off his Ardrey Kelly team before he transferred to Mallard Creek , word was he tried to fight the QB because he didn't think he was getting the ball enough. He also recently tweeted that he would be a millionaire in 51 months. Funny this article came out 9-1.
