LINCOLNTON - Two-sport high school sports standout Sage Surratt is down to five schools and he said Friday night that football is now his top priority.
Sage Surratt, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound football wide receiver and basketball guard, has narrowed his finalists to Harvard, Yale, Indiana, North Carolina and South Carolina.
"I'm going to sign for football," said Sage Surratt, who transferred from rival East Lincoln to Lincolnton this summer. "And basketball will be optional."
Sage Surratt has received offers from schools for both sports since the summer of 2015.
