He was always throwing down a verbal gauntlet in our games against UVa & ND. "I wanna see Carolina play tough!" basically. I just think he is like some of us who are impressed with the last 2 games, but are still conditioned to some of the head-scratchers. If our whole season had more games like the last 2, it would be different, I think. Obviously the Heels can play tough. It's a matter of will they play tough every game? They may be subconsciously content with what they've won. I can say that I'm happy and content with what they've done this season. If they lose to UK in the SS, I would still feel like the season was a great one. Kentucky is a dominant team. That's not some big secret. Carolina can beat UK, and beat them badly. Will they?, is the question!
actually, they can be and are playing well right now...4th highest odds to win title...you seem to have ignored this as well.
Nope, their strength of schedule was always dismal.

Methinks Bur-heel was being facetious, Mike. I know you've had to turn your sarcasm meter way down with all the asinine posts we've see on the board recently.
My point is it would almost have to be. I'm exposed to SEC basketball constantly down here and this season in particular it is just not good. Sometimes it's even hard to watch.
I'm basing most of my feeling on the way the played in the SEC Tourney final against Texas A&M
and leading up to...they have a fantastic point guard, lead the nation in offense efficiency, and their style seems to fit what the tournament is about, nowadays.
nobody is saying the sec is strong 1-14...but for people to dispose of kentucky this time of year because of league weakness is flat out ignorant.
Don't get me wrong, strum... I actually told a buddy the other day that I thought UK was playing really well lately... but it is also relative. They just out-raw-talent the schools they play down here. Because A$M have had some, um, eyebrow-raising recruiting classed recently they've become competitive, but we're talking 2 teams that frankly would have been fortunate to come into this year's ACC Tourney as 5 or 6 seeds.
Na, they aren't that good. But you can read the story lines that tell you they are. Get a opinion with your own eyes for once. Sometimes reading games doesn't work, watching does.

Ulis is a monster. They only have 8 losses. They are to be take very seriously. They're the only team I'm concerned with in our bracket. WVU doesn't concern me anywhere near as much as KY, simply because of Calipari and KY are always hot in March.
i do watch...get an opinion other than through the "informed" on this board...you keep grinding though.
Indiana is very dangerous because they can flat light up 3s. Sort of team I would rather not play in the dance. Their achilles heel is in the paint. UK will be stronger than IU there, but then there's no Townes on their front line this season.
the one thing i like about our bracket is those two play each other before we have to play one of them. i'm surprised the dook lovers on the committee didn't set us up to play both of them.
Most of his teams choked near end of regular season is why they got left out of the tourney.
