with all the focus on Clemson and the CFP, it's easy to miss something like this, but proud Tar Heel Shaun Draughn looks to be getting his shot in the NFL this weekend (and potentially will be the starter for the rest of the year) with the 49ers. Wish him the best of luck!

He's actually been starting for the last few games. Numbers aren't great, but he's actually been pretty solid. Massive upgrade over guys like Pierre Thomas and Kendall Gaskins, who they brought in before Draughn, and Mike Davis, a rookie that got injured.. The 49ers just have a terrible o-line. He'll start the rest of the year unless Hyde is able to get healthy, which is looking increasingly unlikely. Wouldn't shock me to see him stick around with the 49ers after this season as a backup, although he might want to look somewhere else. The 49ers are a trainwreck right now.

Shaun , a Tarboro product has more lives than a cat. He has been on and off NFL teams for the better part of a decade and has probably made a pretty decent living doing it. I raise my stein and salute you Shaun.

You can do a lot of chasing the dream with a six figure salary. Good for him, hope he can stick.
