Sheed don't lie

Too bad BC knocked out our point guard.
That was one of the most loaded, experienced teams in NCAA history…the “Star Heels.”
You had a high level PG in McInnis who had all year to be prepared to be inserted should the need arise. No reason to lose that game. Bill Curley and Abrams just owned us. It felt worse than the Weber State game.
The 2nd unit on that 1994 team should’ve made the sweet 16.

That team had major chemistry issues from day 1. The freshmen were better than several seniors who had just won a national championship. The stories of disfunction within that team are legendary.

Doesn't change the fact that Boston College had some dirty players. Dean Smith himself pointed out Abrams had stomped on a player earlier that season.

We were loaded for sure!

In regards to the 1993/1994 Tar Heels, Jerry Stackhouse would tell anybody who would listen how the freshman destroyed the upperclassmen in practice. I thought a lot of the chemistry issues could have been solved by a simple move. Brian Reese was dealing with health issues (asthma I believe) early on in the season. He should have redshirted like Pat Sullivan did and that would have freed up a lot of space/time. He comes back the next year and UNC could very well have gone back to back. That’s if Stack and Wallace stick around after winning a title their Freshman year. Probably not.
