Yeah, good for them, but doesn't smell right. Gottfried can't coach, he is just a used car salesman. If Lutz ever gets another gig, Gottfried is screwed. If you are swayed but some stupid helicopter, then really don't want you anyways. $ is behind this.

Meh. Let him go to Pig Molester U. and flounder in their suck. I don't care how good he is, they suck and he will end up sucking, too. Their National Championship is beating UNC so IF Gottcoed manages to beat us once every few years he will keep his job no matter how bad they do and they will continue to suck.

On a more serious side, I don't see the joy of putting down others'
success or relishing their failures. Of course, at my age, I've been
there, done that, (many times) and learned from my foolishness.
In Football but not in Basketball. UNC may have a bad year recruiting this year but the cloud will go away by end of season.
Me, I'm not talking about NCS. I was speaking of UK & UNC fans (other teams fan just as bad) who demean a quality recruit when they lose him to a rival and would worship the same if he signs with their team.
BTW, I'm not lurking, I just enjoy a "civil" conversation with civilized fans of any team.

Perhaps you should focus a little more on reading comprehension if you want to have a "civilized" conversation then. If you had actually read what I posted, you would have seen that I said I didn't care how good HE was, THEY sucked and he would end up mired in their suck. I didn't demean him and I, too, am too old to get wrapped up in "losing" a 18 year old kid to a rival school which is why I didn't whine and moan about him going there instead of UNC.
He chose Suck U. Great. I wish him well, but the bottom line is that a great deal of this "mess" you referred to came because of sheep fondler fans whose sole purpose in life is to see UNC athletics taken down. They could care less about how well their programs do so long as we fail. If you think I am kidding, go search some of my posts on their fans and see what I wrote about them from personal experiences. One being my brother in law who told me flat out and without any hesitation that he would choose a winless season except for victories over UNC versus a season where the only losses were to UNC including a national championship. In ANY sport. Stop and think about how pathetic that is.
I am sorry if you don't get how some of us feel about the goat porkers. Frankly, it is no skin off my back either way but don't come here and start talking about how I trashed some kid when I didn't and don't pretend to know how I might feel about a recruit IF he were to choose us. He didn't so we will never know, but even had he chosen us over them I would reserve how I felt about him until after he had been here a while.
Again, go search my posts about Rashad McCants and others who were good players and who helped win games but who were piss poor representatives of the university and the program.
