Only going to get 1 - 2" in the Triad, but nobody forecasted this, so roads weren't pre-treated and idiot drivers are causing wrecks and delays everywhere.

I wonder if the Wolpfack's bus will be able to make it over from Raleigh tonight?

Ohhh but I thought only Georgians suck at driving in the snow/ice

(FYI, they do still suck though. Getting to work this morning was very dicey. Ice everywhere, people sliding off the road, etc)

Saw tweets indicating they were practicing in the Smith Center last night and spent the night in Chapel Hill.

It'll be interesting to see how many fans make it to the game tonight if roads don't improve. Could be fun if the students get some extra seats.

TarHeelNation11 did you lose a bet or something?

Just chatted with a cousin of mine that lives in Youngsville, they've been enjoying a light snowfall all day . . . and the forecast is for a possible 3-5 inches for tomorrow.

It snowed some in the Atlantic Beach area . . . anything in Wrightsville Bch., . . ?

Okay, I just checked out the Youngsville forecast, and it appears they've increased the expected snowfall totals from 3-5 inches to 8+ inches with heavy snow beginning around 10 PM . .

For those living in the scope of this winter storm, how much is your area looking at . . ?

I need to get groceries because I've delayed it for too long and I'm out of food. Gonna have fun doing that tonight.
I'm guessing......lots of Ramen, eggs, bread, and pre-cooked Boar's Head bacon?

I haven't eaten Ramen in a long time. I like the stuff, but it makes me hungrier afterwards than I was before I ate it. I eat eggs like crazy, and I'll get bread if there's any left by the time I get there. Abso-freaking-lutely on the Boars Head bacon.

The (pre-) fully cooked bacon was a life-saver in college and the one-minute egg cooker I showed you on here, combined, those saved my life in college. I'd wake up at 8:45 for a 9:30 class....shower and get dressed....then quickly throw together an egg and bacon sandwich, slap it in a paper towel and head out the door to catch the bus at 9:09.

Man, those were the days....

I tried the microwavable egg thing you recommended to me in the morning since I always lay in bed too long and don't give myself enough time to do anything but get dressed and go. I just couldn't stomach it. The eggs do not turn out nearly the same. I'm not a picky eater, but I'm different with eggs. Unless they're cooked just right, they suck. Typically, I just take a few pieces of bacon, stick them in a slice of bread, fold the bread in half, shove it in my mouth and get in the car.

Nice, I've done the same. Yeah I mean the eggs aren't as good in that thing, but if you throw some cheese on it, it's satisfactory IMO. On mornings that I was feeling super ambitious, I'd get up and have enough time to scramble an egg real quick. But that was rare.

Nowadays, I just eat a Cliff bar for breakfast. Still can't bring myself to get up any earlier than 7:05

Tell ya what guys, I'll pack up the 18" sitting in my front yard in Southern West Virginia and I'll gladly ship it to you TODAY! Just let me know where to send it!

WTH? Early December snowing here in the NC triad area. Supposed to get at least a few inches of accumulation on yards; not sure if much will stick to roads. But still...

We're looking at a possible 2-4 inches here in NoVA with snow showers starting around 7:15 and then a steady light snow from 11 pm tonite thru 2 pm tomorrow.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Oh yeah . .

You southerners are wimps lol
The weirdest part is it's the carpetbaggers that always get in the wrecks. Didn't y'all fukkin learn how to drive in this growing up?

In general though, it's the infrastructure. Y'all salt and treat your roads and have armies of snow plows and street sweepers. We don't.
