Until now on Yvertseven's 4th foul. Should have been a no call but Bilas said it was a good call.
Bilas is the best in the business. He also loves Carolina.
Had all of the makings of an infomercial, in fist half, in my opinion. That can not happen when losing... He is fair to the Heels at times. However, as for the home school.... Well, too many miss agenda, again in my opinion. Do not agree? Move on...
He can go full dookie at times in their games. More importantly, dook LOST!

and imo that has to be hard to call your Alma mater game. Heck by my own admission I can justify almost anything for the heels when watching their games. Heck, its hard. He is one of the best.
I can’t find fault with him. He was one of the very few that took up for UNC during the NCAA witch hunt.
I like him in general as well, but OP's point was fair. I've heard him revert back to dookie mode when he calls their games. Not that big a deal but still true.
Meanwhile, kentucky lost at Tennessee. Arizona lost at Colorado. Arky lost at Auburn. BAD day for the road teams.
If OP went to Carolina, he definitely had to load up his slate with AFAM courses.
Completely unnecessary low class comment, especially from one Carolina fan to another.
Personally, I think Bilas is one of the best in the business. Does the fact that he's a dookie color his commentary at times? Sure. But as stated above, it's got to be hard to call your school's games. The Jet's UNC bias is readily apparent too, although I realize he's not actually calling games. Brad Daugherty is another guy who manages to call his alma mater's games with good overall equanimity. But it's got to be hard.

I think Bilas has always been a fair-minded guy, at least in the games I've watched that he was calling.
But the simple solution is just don't watch dook games. It will do wonders for your state of mental health.

I like he Bilas when all the other commentators were pounding the gavels and screaming to the high heavens including dookie v, Burke the bitter fan five member Jalen, Seth Greenburg, and Jay Williams saying we needed to be punished and banners come down he was the ONLY ONE who said we did nothing wrong. Said it was an emberresment but that we broke no NCAA rules. To me he is a great and open minded commentator who doesn't just follow what the mob says but his own convictions

No excuse for them, but to be fair we just played two good teams on the road. Other than at Cameron we probably have already played our toughest away games
There is no helping someone who thinks Jay Bilas is biased toward Duke and/or against UNC. You mean.... Bilas said some good things about Duke when they're, wait for it.... wait for it.... the #1 ranked team in the nation right now? Oh man, what a biased asshole.
Some of y'all think that if an announcer says anything good about Duke, they're biased toward Duke, and if they say anything negative about UNC, they're anti-UNC.
Imo hes the best out there right now.

jfc, bilas is outstanding...he's supremely intelligent, has zero bias when working, and he's anti-ncaa establishment.

Bilas was one of the last few dook players that I didn't hate, like they are so easy to do today. Just after him came Ferry, Laettner, etc. and the never ending stream of punks that need a face punch.
As an announcer, I've always liked him. And as already mentioned, he was in our corner during the scandal. He actually thinks before he speaks, unlike so many blow hards that just want attention.

Bilas is awesome. Fair and insightful. I am always happy to see him on Carolina games.
Bilas really is the one dookie that I can put my hatred to the side on because of how he stuck up for us the whole way throughout the garbage. I will admit that I did laugh last year when his coffee cup at the Smith Center had "Bilass"written on it, oh how great is our rivalry. He spoke out a ton against all the ABCers out there because he actually analyzed the case at hand and stood for what was right, which was the truth. And let's be honest with the crews that espn (doesn't deserve caps) puts out there, he is the best in the business; he actually knows basketball really well, provides some good insights, is professional in how he conducts himself and is okay with stating what he believes and not the majority.
Also, while some on the college ball crew at espn were saying that what TV Ted did was just a mistake in the heat of the moment at the game. Jay had this to say: "Wow.
