" Of UNC’s 13 losses, 11 were one-possession games with three minutes left; either Carolina led or trailed in that manner in all but two of its defeats."
Well golly, wasn't it jung that wanted to argue I was wrong when I argued just this a short while back? And that is what it was, a bad shot here, a careless TO there, not getting that defensive rebound when it was vital. It was this in addition to all the other issues that I really do hope Hubert has learned from.
You know what, maybe I am slow but it just occurred to me, last season and the season before where like 2 sides to the same coin. The first season was awful for most of the season but they caught fire near the end of the season and did so by hitting a lot of the shots (many actually bad shots that went in at great times for us), especially at crunch time, they had been missing, they got hot and stayed hot to the final game. FLIP THE COIN and we had last season, yet again, awful thru the bulk of the season but rather than catch fire near the end, as is the case with the other side of the coin, we went in to a form of sports death cycle, the coin flip from the prior year season ending. That first season ended with a VERY confident group of players, last season ended with what appeared to be a group of players with little if any confidence, 2 sides...same coin.
