Some additional recruiting nuggets.
- UNC reached out to Matt Coleman yesterday, a source confirmed to Tar Heel Illustrated. The 6-1 rising junior from Norfolk (Virginia) is slated to play at Oak Hill Academy in tiny, middle-of-nowhere Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. The left-handed point guard is a pure floor general with plenty of quickness. He excels as a guy who can knife into the paint and dish or finish. He's also a tremendous ball-handler and high speed decision maker.
- Marques Bolden confirmed the scholarship offer from UNC last night in a text to THI. The Texas center is a highly recruited national target, so the offer makes sense. The UNC staff is looking to sign three post players in the class of 2016, so it wouldn't surprise us to see more offers go out.
- CB McGrath reached out to 2017 PG Blake Harris as well. The 6-3 point guard is coveted for his floor vision, size and high skill level. He is originally from the Durham area.
- Got a Sacha Killeya-Jones quote on the UNC offer that he received. You can definitely tell this is a big one for him, "It's very exciting," he said. "It's great to be offered by my home town school, that's not something everybody can say. Also, it's humbling to be offered a scholarship by a Hall-of-Fame coach like Coach Williams."
