Parody of mega church tv evangelists. Hilarious. Original music too which is better than most contemporary worship that i was around. It doesnt go after the faith but the hypocrites who prey off it. Having said that though its tv-ma for good reason.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The deuce

Written by same people as the wire and it shows. Instead of drugs and police in 80’s baltimore its porn and prostitution in ‘70’s time square. Grimey and very realistic. James franco plays twin brothers dealing with mafia.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unbelievable

Follows two story lines. One is a girl whos accused of false reporting a rape. The other is two detectives going after a serial rapist. Slow moving but interesting. Great acting by the young girl.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rm 104

Hbo show with strange sci fi ish stories all set in same hotel room.
Watched 4 of them. 2 were okay. 2 sucked. Gave up

⭐️⭐️

X-men phoenix

Pretty standard x men flick. Decent action. Predictable story line. Not bad but nothing special.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

John wick 3

Picks up exactly where 2 left off. Fast paced and full of head shots. Keanus reeves prob says 12 words whole movie

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Castle rock

Loved it!! If you’re a stephen king fan this is a must see. Parallel worlds, time travel, demons, shawshank prison...it attempts to explain why so many bizarre things have happened in castle rock and makes tie ins and references both subtle and obvious to kings other stories.

I've seen John Wick 3. It was decent, but definitely the worst of the three. Don't watch it if you're looking for a good storyline. I'm looking forward to the Breaking Bad movie coming out in a few weeks. The trailers look pretty good.

A blackout erases memory of the beatles and a struggling song writer who still remembers their music cashes in. I wasnt too impressed halfway in and found myself clutching the remote. Very cheesey and the plot seemed doomed to follow a very predictable path. But it takes a turn and i found it very entertaining.

Saw it at the theater... it was lame.

Finally saw Rocketman, it was worth it, for sure.

And, there's a series on Hulu- 1969. Very cool!

My wife got me watching Bloodline on Netflix. We just started season 2. It's a decent time waster at the end of the day.

The Last Czars on Netflix was pretty good if you like historical docudramas with titties.

McConaughey nails it
Films like that, and Cold Mountain, are informative films and depictions of what average southern people endured. Free State of Jones is even better because it points-out how corrupt the southern government's policies were to its own people, and how the Confederate Armies plundered from local southern families.

And, the 20 Slave Law was featured as well. The South deserved to lose that war and fortunately, it did.

Thanks for the ted lasso recommendation. Enjoyed it. I couldn’t figure out where I knew the team owner from so I had to google it...she’s the “shame” nun from game of thrones. Lol.

It looks like DC on HBO has some good plans as well. I might end up dropping Hulu and replacing it with HBO max.
I like how disney relaesed mulan on a premium service. $30 is much cheaper than sitting in a theater.
Im still a bit confused about what they are currently doing, but their movie production seems to be fading away.

Confused about DC or Marvel?

Disney. Marvel is doing both movies and live action
Disney decided a while ago to make pretty much all of their movies through the Marvel/Pixar/Star Wars brand. I think they still plan to make some more live action remakes, but other than that the Disney branded stuff will go to Disney+.

Shows how subjective art is. I really enjoyed it! Kate McKinnon was great as the manager!
Ohhh, yeah. I forgot about her role! haha

I dunno, it was too far of a leap for me. I can suspend disbelief only so far. WHen they were Google searching the other bands of the British Invasion, and they were showing-up, I was like "okay, this is done. You can't have The Rolling Stones but not have The Beatles." I think the premise was good, but I didn't like how they tried to pull-it-off. And, there were some parts that were endearing. The part with John Lennon was kind of nostalgic. But, I totally understand how a lot of people really enjoyed it. And, I usually love Danny Boyle's films.

Anybody else see battleground los angeles? Good enough to keep me away from the debare.
Marines defend LA from a alien attack.
Not great, but better than expected cuz it was a little more grounded in reality compared to most aliens-attack movies. Kinda simple.

Yes I agree. It’s plausible in its depiction of how an alien invasion might happen and how it would play out on the ground.
