They were close last year to making the big splash, and now this team has some valuable experience winning. They might now make the ACC Championship Game, but a corner has been turned. And that means that FSU is ready to rebound.

They, like Miami, have had the requisite talent for the last few years to be much better than they have been. Has the coaching improved enough to make them real?

I'm big on BIG wins. That Noles W over LSU last year spoke volumes. Being 2-0 vs. the SEC is a big deal. Closing the season with 6 consecutive wins is a big deal. If Mack accomplished all that with 1 season, his choir would never tire of telling us how great that makes him.

And yet they still finished behind Clemson. Maybe prove you can win a conference championship first. I'll wait until they show they are better than Clemson before I say they are better than Clemson.

Do they appear to be on the rise? Yes. They’ve recruited well for a long, long time. I said I thought Norvell was a very good hire for them. So they may have a coach commensurate with their elite talent and he’s only 41. Ouch!
