Without getting into specifics and trying to be as vague as possible out of respect, just wanted to pass along that the TE position recently lost a member for the year. I'm sure the UNC outlets will eventually catch wind of it, so I will leave it at that for now.

Is it Fritts? I believe he was injured mid-way or near the latter weeks, you could tell since he was missing from the starting lineups.
If so, that sucks for him. If he improved his toughness blocking he would've been pretty attractive in the draft.
Bargas can block, Tucker can catch, so they'll need to step up.
If it isn't him, then who? Tucker was wearing a red-jersey due to that elbow injury from last yr...
Just not sure of the protocol for injuries for your team. Coming from the Penn State board and as a Penn State fan James Franklin keeps everything private. Didn't want to step on any toes or announce something that would offend those who put it out there.
The protocol from the coaches is silence on any injury NOT out-for-season. On gameday they'll list out-for-game and out-for-season, but that's it.
Not going to offend anyone here. You aren't stepping on the toes of posters or admins here either (esp since this is the free board). I sometimes feel the exact nature of an injury should be private... for the sake of the kid maybe not wanting that out there, but again, public uni, so we're paying for the scholarship, we're paying for the hospital, the surgery, the rehab, etc.
So James Franklin keeps everything private to, eh, how do the PSU fans feel about that?

I see that it is now out there from Fritts himself. I went to high school with Trubisky and Fritts, so my source was from His brother. I didn’t want to offend him by leaking that Brandon was done for the year if it wasn’t supposed to be public knowledge. It does look like he had the surgery today, so I would seriously doubt the legitimacy of a late season return. With today’s medicine though, who knows.
