The thing a healthy JB brings to our game is that ability to drive the offense and the others feed off that. They are much more confident with him in there and he has the ability to change a game. Stillman, as much as I love him, doesn't have that same ability. Neither does Woods at this point. I disagree on some comments about him, as I think he is just too inexperienced right now. I remember people trashing Ty Lawson and Ray Felton early on, too.
Anyway, JB is the PG that Roy needs to drive his offense and no one we have, regardless of his health at this point, is as good. JB can either drive and dish, drive and take a shot or Step back and kill you from downtown. He can push the offense under control to make the fast break a killer. He has great court vision and rarely turns it over because of a stupid decision.
Was he hurting last night? Of course he was. He tried to play through it and had some good looks, but it was obvious he wasn't the same JB we saw a month ago. Still, having him on the court as much as he can possibly go give us our best chance to win.
Now, where I think our biggest advantage is tomorrow is our ability to go fast. Yes, they have size and depth to match ours, but NO ONE on that team can hang with us if we get going in the running game. That depth won't help one bit and their big men simply cannot run up and down the floor with ours. If we can push the tempo, we could win this one going away. JB is absolutely key to making that happen.
I am not going to trash you over the post (I, too, don't understand why people can't spell POST right), since I understand what you were saying. I just don't think that scenario would be a good one for us.
