I was feeling really confident about this game before pulling the stats together. These teams are much more evenly matched than I thought, at least on paper. Also, note the almost identical strength of schedule.

The one number that jumps off the page is Georgia Tech's 3rd down defense. They are dead last in the country, allowing teams to convert almost 51% of their attempts. It's remarkable they managed to hold opponents under 24 points per game despite that atrocious number. Part of the reason is that they manage to hold opponents to a 76% conversion rate in the red zone: 60% TDs and 16% FGs.

You da man, RH. Love your stats you take the time to parse for us every game. Can't thank you enough.

I'm worried about this game because GT traditionally gives us fits. I always dread those chop blocks and the possibility of injury to our linemen.
