Stats for Week 13: NC State at North Carolina

They're weak defensively against the pass, we're weak against the run. Rushing and passing yardage is pretty similar for both teams. We're a little more efficient on third downs and scoring in the red zone.
IOW, stats are pretty similar. They must win to be eligible for the toilet bowl and it would make their whole season to beat us, so they will be sky high. If we don't win the TO battle, I think we win. But we'd better bring our A game or we'll lose.

BTW, sure sounds like this may be Mitch's last game in Chapel Hill. Sure was hoping we'd have him and Elijah back for another year, for purely selfish reasons. But if not, I wish them much success at the next level.
Despite his subpar (by his standards) last two games he is still showing up as the first or second QB drafted last time I looked. If that's the case, then he needs to leave. Can't get any better than a first round pick.
As for Hood, that's a tough call. He obviously had a down year compared to last year, but his numbers are still solid. Given the shelf life of a RB these days, it might be a good idea for him to leave if he is projected in the 3-4 round. Not sure where he is projected to go at the moment.
I think one could reasonably argue that aside from VT, this is the best defense we've faced all season. Heels had better come ready to play.
I'd rather get poison ivy everyday for a month than lose to Moo in football.
You can always grind salt into poison ivy. But no matter how much salt you rub and how hard, you cannot rid your skin of Moo fungus.
