Yea I know this coming from the guy who wanted Coach gone last year at the beginning of the season. Learned I have!
This team is different than last years. Still trying to find an identity without Brady. I am very impressed with Nance so far. Getting him involved in the offense, along with a rotation is a work in progress. It’s still early so let’s remain calm and optimistic. Meanwhile I really like Puffs improvement and he seems to be in the right place at the right time quite a bit. Leakys defense is outstanding and will only get better. Oh and I’m thinking Trimble is gonna be something before he leaves the hill. It’s all good folks, just relax and stay calm…

1. We could have beaten Iowa State had we simply run decent offense over the final 3 minutes. We didn't. Hubert let Bacot try to show off his perimeter skills, and he threw the ball away 3 times. That decided the game.

2. We could have beaten Bama is regulation, OT, double OT, and triple OT if we just ran a decent offensive set 1 dang time. All we needed was a layup or even a free throw. But our coach let the guys keep playing hero ball on dead legs.

3. Bacot and Black both have injured ankles now. Black was able to wrap his injury and keep playing, but it will definitely swell on the plane ride home. Bacot was unable to play on his ankle, limped to the post game presser, and it's apparently the same ankle he hurt last spring.

So now we have 2 losses thanks to bad coaching, 2 of our most irreplaceable players are hurt, and we have to play @ Indiana and @ VT this week. What part of that do you find relaxing?

I have found that looking back never works. We will survive one way or another, and if we don’t, we’ll then it is what it is and we try again. Getting crazy over a game we have no control over is, well crazy. Why worry. Enjoy watching these kids and hope for the best. Took me 58 years to get it.
I love the The Heels, but I no longer live and die if we win or lose. I enjoy or I get ready for the next game hoping for the best.

I'm with you OldSchool ... I'm 57 and just posted on another thread that if our guards hit shots we'll probably win. If they don't ... well we'll probably lose. Here's to hoping that our guards hit shots.
By the way Dave Chapelle ... I agree with your assessment regarding our coaching ... I wasn't impressed.

I think the guards can help Bacot by not giving him the ball when he’s too far from the basket.
It’s disaster when he have to put the ball on the floor….dribbling and twisting towards the basket..instant turnover and second straight game with 6 turnovers.

Either give him the ball when he got his man pinned deep under the basket or Drive and dish it to him.

And Bacot has to be able to face up and hit the 10 to 15 footer….forget about the 3ball. This way he don’t have to try to dribble his way to the basket.

Bacot tries to lower his shoulder wayyy too much and 9/10 times he gets called for an offensive foul. You'd think he would learn that by now too.

Interesting take that coaching causes sprained ankles! I have never heard of this power. We have two pivotal cogs injured and I would bet every college in the nation has had injuries to this point. I guess every college needs a new coach???? I sprained my ankle stepping off a curb without one second of PT and we had peeps play iron man ball all last season without injury, but carry on! Trevor Siemien hurt himself in warmups and he has been sitting on the bench all year. But I agree we need a more organized offence.

Yeap…..it’s because he don’t have a reliable go to move….he just tries to bully his way to the basket which he is good at. If he had Nance’s baby hook….he could easily average 25 a night

Coaching does not cause sprained ankles but playing tired will increase the likelihood of rolling an ankle cause you aren't moving as well. One thing I wish Hubert would do is use November and December to develop the bench.

I haven’t seen anyone say it or I missed it, but Love shot the ball 36 times? That’s a Russell Westbrook type number. RJ shot it 24 times… I feel like that just can’t happen. You’d think running an actual offense would stop that from happening.

Yeap that’s just too many damn shots for both of them. Foul trouble to Nance contributed to this also. We need Nance to produce consistently and take at least 12 shots per game. Bacot can’t just let them double team him down low….he can move away from the double and reset. Leaky have to shoot more….or drive to the basket more

Sorry to hear that you possess the cognitive reading comprehension of a 5 year old. Because no one blamed the sprained ankles on the coaches. Feel free to start a GoFundMe if you would like Tar Heel fans to help pay for a tutor to teach you how to read better.

I'm rubber and you're glue...

OK back to the adult table and without resorting to childish name calling. I'd certainly welcome any funds peeps want to give so thanks for the offer! If you could at least try to make a cogent point, I'll gladly engage in intelligent debate!

I agree with those who think we need more set plays for our O due to our lead guards having trouble with reverting to bad habits under stress. I vehemently disagree that we can force PT without requiring peeps to earn it.
