Kinda weird actually, most expected tenn, makes it really hard to figure why he didn't look at us harder. He could have come to us and competed against 2 freshmen and Luke for PT and rather he stays in a weak conference for a decent or so program?
Oh, I think he did look at us very hard but with Huffman having already jumped at the UNC offer, the Manley commitment ended our recruiting of him. I really like Stokes. UF got a good one.
He had his chance to commit, and didn't. If he didn't want to come in and compete for PT, I'm glad he chose another school.
Sure, but did we cut him off or did he cut us off?
A lot of us were hoping for 3 bigs in this class. I've always felt that 3 bigs would give us our best shot at having at least one of the three ready to start as a frosh. Nor would it surprise me if Stokes turned out to be that one.
Based on what I've seen, I expect Huff to get good, but maybe not right away. And while others like Manley, I haven't seen him play. So I'm still pretty concerned about next year. I hope Roy pulls a rabbit out of his hat.
I doubt he didnt come here because he was afraid to compete for PT with the other guys we are bringing in.
I don't think he had the option to come here after our other two committed.
I think it was more his camp than ours, we were still willing to take Brooks and I think most would have considered Stokes a bigger get. I think Roy assumed Tenn had him wrapped up so he didn't press it and didn't get the open door we seemed to have from Brooks.
