One change that I would like to see in college football is for the whistle to be blown when a punt returner signals for a fair catch. Obviously, the players should keep playing in case the guy drops the punt and it's a live ball. But, it is damn near impossible for a gunner to have to sprint downfield while fighting off blocks and see the split second handwave to call for a fair catch of the punt returner.
Maybe I'm just sick and tired of seeing opposing players hit Switzer after he has called for a fair catch. Now, I know that he's brought some of this upon himself because of the JMU game. But, I really think that college football can make this better for both sides by making a change.
