I hope he doesn't leave North Carolina for the NBA. I would like to see him come back and have a big year for the Heels.

He's going to test the waters for certain . . . for me personally, I really want Brice back for next year.

Another year of working on his strength-weight and FOCUS would do him good.

May sound crazy, but Brice is the player I'm least worried about coming back.

Sure, he can be great on offence and he's a high energy guy, but I reckon if Brice left Isaiah would step up and deliver.

Brice leaving would leave Roy thin on the front line with Kennedy, Isaiah, Joel J and Luke Maye sharing time at 4-5 and that's a big drop after Kennedy and Isaiah (Maye will be good, but most likely in his Jnr and Snr years)

So if he goes, could Roy pick up some short term front court help (any Justin Knox type players out there?

It's a legitimate concern for sure. The staff and team have known for many weeks that Brice was strongly considering the Draft. Hopefully he gets solid advice and makes a great decision - which to me would be another year of college ball.

At this point I would ask where would Brice go? Folks PLEASE, Brice wil be at UNC, honestly, unless it is Europe he doesn't have a lot of choice, I mean, why take a non-guranteed 2nd round pick? WE are NOT, repeat, NOT losing anyone early to this years draft, book it, bank it, spend the interest wisely!

I'm with you. Don't think we have anybody who would even go early 2nd round. Also in the D league patience runs out fairly quick.

Is Brice one of those folks who simply CANNOT gain weight???

There ARE those types, their metabolism is such that it is almost impossible for them to gain it .I think he may be one of those.

he's not going anywhere...if you're familiar with his family, you'd know why.

having said that, if roy is feeding him poor advice(not intentionally) then he might like being a 2nd round draft pick with no guaranteed contract.

Can't see him making it into the first round. He'd probably be drafted in the second round. But there's no guarantee of that and even if he was, no guarantee contract and roster spot. Does Brice want to play for $25,000 a year in the NBDL? If he were to choose that option, that would signal something very wrong in Chapel Hill.

If anything, that is an under statement. He defintely needs to add weight and muscle and strength. And focus is indeed an area that needs work. He also needs to make himself a viable shooter from 15 feet.

From the mouth of Roy Williams - "Brice thinks defense is what you build around your yard".

Am I the only person who thinks there is absolutely zero chance that Brice moves into the top 20 no matter how he plays next year? He's already gained most of the weight he can, and I'd argue that's not really his issue. There will be a whole new set of shiny OADs that go in front of him and the guys who surprise and don't go this year. If he's not top 20 can you argue he'd be a 1st round lock?

he's built like henson and tayshsun prince, there's only so much you can do to a body until you do it wrong and it ends up hurting.

his biggest weakness is defense and then shot selection...those things can be improved, but it's not helping him into any lottery...now, if he developed an outside shot like prince did, whoa.

Where is he gonna go?

Roy said in his radio show that he expects everyone to come back, but he's been surprised before. I don't think he'll pull a JMM though. He doesn't have a reason to like JMM did.

If Brice leaves we are boned. He was by far our most consistent threat inside. Hicks has shown flashes of great play interspersed with disappearing completely. Meeks has been somewhat similar, albeit partially due to a lot of illness this season. James is who he is, and that is not a starting Center in the ACC. We have an untested Frosh big coming in who seems to be similar to Meeks but with greater range on his jumper.

We REALLY need Brice Johnson to return or next season will make us long for this past season.

If they all return, and there is no improvemnt in 3 point shooting, nor in other outside shooting, nor in ability of the 5s to power hard to the basket, nor in FT shooting, nor in perimeter D, then the odds of making the FF will be slim. We will be the same team we were this year.

We had 3 guys shooting over 40% from 3 during ACC play. Check the stats.

That's how we made the final. But that was not indicative of the entire year.

So, if they next year that way, it will be one part needed. With better perimeter D in the ACC tourney, we could have won it. Better shooting and perimeter D were required to beat Wisconsin.

This team had monets that loooked like a Final Four team, and moments that looked like an 8th place ACC team that could be lucky to reach the NIT final four.

Dang woad! Get SOMETHING RIGHT will yah!

We out shot Wisky! Everywhere except the free throw line!

We shot 61% from 3 they shot 33%.

Both shot 46.4% from 2.

All our loses were to NCAA bound teams except Pitt who shot out of their minds.
