Survivor Pool 2021: Make Your Week #2 Selections Here
These results are final. Week #1 is officially over.
Each new weekly thread will include 5 Sections:
1) A “Notes” section that might include editorials or explanations of any decision/s made or unusual situations that occurred. Please read them.
2) Previous Week Results,
3) Current Week Games and Cut-Off Times,
4) Selections Made Thus Far (Survivors Bracket, Losers Bracket & LL Bracket), and
5) The Sagarin Ratings at the beginning of the current week.
Notes:
** Editorial: Last year we had 49 contestants. This year we have 71, a nice increase – but not nearly as many as our record year 2013 – over 100 contestants.
** During Week #1, several contestants edited their posts and changed their selections. Please do not do this in the future. The rules state that . . .
“Selections that have been posted during a week may be changed before the deadline, but the revised selection should be entered as a new posting. I try to log selections to my spreadsheet when posted, and I rarely go back and review old selections/postings. It may be that an “edited” selection will not be noticed or recognized.”
** Contestant @2213 missed the 11:30 a.m. Saturday cut-off, but his selection of Syracuse was accepted. In the future, any selections made after the published cut-off time will not be accepted.
** A special welcome to our first time contestants: @MarcRich , @gcrow , @cbarnett94 , @WGoodrich , @Ned Cota , @Wsimpson122 , @spartanburgheel15 , @HeelzLover , @ohio tarheels , & @tccollins.
** Contestant @MarcRich selected Ole Miss in Week #1. This was an Invalid selection. Only ACC teams may be selected each week. I attempted to contact him to change his selection. Per the rules, when a selection is made of a team that could not win, the contestant will lose the future selection of the highest rated team going into that week. Therefore @MarcRich drops into the Losers Bracket and will lose Clemson as a future selection.
** In the “Selections Made” Section below, a “(W)” behind the team signifies they won their game and an “(L)” signifies a loss. An “(INV)” signifies an invalid selection was made. In the future, an “(NP)” will designate that ‘no pick’ was made, and we’ll use “(DUPE)” in case a duplicate selection was made.
