Switzer and Marquise have a message for ESPN...

This would be unreal. How far in advance do they make the decision on the GameDay location?

Like 4-6 days before sometimes. I don't think they decided to go to Temple until this past Monday (as in 4 days ago).

One more thing that would help us if Gameday did decide to come here....we were given the 12:30 kick, not the 12:00 kick. So that would give the fans 30 minutes to ASAP get to their seats after the conclusion of GameDay at noon.

So who wants to volunteer to errr "ask nicely" for all the State fans to kindly GTFO our campus and take their dumb signs with them? Cuz you know those pathetic losers will come out in force and try to make a STATEment.

And a number of them would email ESPN to say that they intend to have banners filled with profanity to try to keep Game Day away.

GameDay hasn't come to a school where the game started before 3:30 all season. I didn't have time at the moment to look up the past handful of years to see if they had come to a game that started at noon or 12:30 in that time frame, but I feel like we won't see them there. I wish we would, I really and truly do. I just think they'll either be at the Clemson-FSU game or LSU-Bama or TCU-OSU or something like that.

That part wouldn't be a problem -- and to be honest, none of this would be a problem. College Game Day is an absolute machine. They've honed their craft.

I attended one in 2009 when #8 Alabama rolled into Athens to face #3 Georgia. It's as crazy live as it looks on TV. And this was 6 years ago so I'm sure it's even wilder now. But ESPN has a number of "spotters" whose sole job is to remove offensive signs that pop up. During commercial breaks, they race around and demand people with inappropriate signs take them down, and if they don't, they have them removed by security.

So I think we'd be OK there...maybe.

Agreed. It's a long shot.

I really think if not for the start time, they would consider it. They've done two Bama games this year and one Clemson game. Plus, almost every ESPN article that has talked about us or Duke in the past couple of weeks has included some joke about "UNC and Duke are at the top of the ACC...BUT NOT IN BASKETBALL!" so they could do that on air non-stop. I just think the start time dooms any shot we have for GameDay. Would love to be wrong though.

We need Dook to win tomorrow or there is NO chance on GameDay coming. We did our part and won. Love the support from the hoops team. Awesome! If NCSUck fans came over with signs it would not bother me too much. It would be the only time they could get close to a GameDay.

Come on GameDay. Make it work.

Go Heels!!!

Great post TarHeelNation. Nice video clip. Hester was a fast dude. I did not think or know that NCSUck had a GameDay. My bad. Glad they shit the bed that night.

I agree. Winning the Coastal is paramount to me.
Long term, how we win the Coastal is what matters most. Winning the Coastal at 8-4 would do zilch for our national reputation. Wining the Coastal by beating back to back ranked teams will matter, to future recruits and to sports journalists.

2 of those games are monster games. They won't be at Chapel Hill.

Gameday has Already been to Clemson, and Alabama this season I believe. I think they will be at the #12 OSU vs#5 TCU game in Stillwater, especially after that Parade incident, it would be something good to lift up their fan base .

However, I do think we have a good shot, but Duke needs to win, and OSU needs to possibly lose to an unranked TTECH this weekend.
