I would love to see that kid break the all time career punt returns for touchdowns record...He doesn't stand too far from it..your thoughts?

#1. The opposing team has to have the lack of foresight to punt to him
#2 Our punt return team blocking needs to improve significantly over last year's
#3 He needs to stay healthy.

That said, given our early season non-conf schedule after the yard chickens, he should be able to get a jump on a good season record, to go with his frosh year.

re: #2 i got the impression that his teammates weren't trying very hard to help switzer repeat his amazing freshman year success on punt returns. too often the blocking seemed half hearted or stupid blocks in the back. did anybody else suspect that or am i being paranoid?

The blocking did seem to be lackluster at best , but it also seemed that way on offense.

If we can improve on defense that will help out significantly. By getting early stops you force the opponent to punt from their own territory, which opens the field up. When a team is punting from close to the 50 they can just corner you or even kick it out of bounds.

Don't be shocked if Mike Hughes does not return punts this year..Switzerland will be catching TDs.....
