Poster on TOS says he's going pro and will announce soon.Has anybody heard anything?

Switzer going pro as a junior would be a worse decision than Tokyo doing the same. His only real shot is with the Pats and he needs to wait a full year before Edelman gets thoroughly destroyed before he gets a shot.

No shit. I wouldn't play in the slot for the Pats for the biggest contract in the history of the league. That's where players go to get concussed. Welker, Edleman and Amendola are all walking vegetables.

Well the poster on tos is an idiot. Relay the message for me.

Those guys mentioned for the pats were all 4.5/40 guys Out of college. Anyone know switz's 40 speed?

At the pro days, he has a spread of 4.40-4.59. Of course, those are unofficial and he'll have to clock an official time at the NFL Combine.

OK found this on Tweeter (or is it woofer?). Is this really Ryan though? GREAT news if he comes back. Switzer catching with Trubisky pitching should be AMAZING!!

Ryan Switzer ‏@Switz03
Even more blessed to return for my senior season & help our team continue to pursue a championship! There's no place like home. #GoHeels

Yes this is really him, and yes he's officially coming back.

Starting WRs: Switzer, Hollins, Howard. Proehl and Jordan Cunningham seeing a lot of action. Mollette bursting onto the scene. Perhaps Fieulleteau showing very well.

We should rack up the passing yards.

Also will have a better Passer at QB... Not a knock on Quise as he is the better runner but watching Mitch this year and the darts he throws...If he stays healthy he could be that 1st QB from UNC to be a Star in the NFL...1 thing on Mitch he has to learn to slide can't be running over people like Quise....I have been pointing to 2016...Will the Giant awake...

heard ranked 30th wr in the draft...he may not have got drafted....good decision to come back

Yea thats a huge spectrum in terms of draft stock. Crazy how tenths of a sec can separate millions of dollars all other things being equal.
Yes it is. Switzer is NOT going to be a high draft pick because he's not 6'4", 230lbs and there's nothing he's going to be able to do about that in the next year. With that said though, there are plenty of opportunities to be a mid round pick with good numbers at the combine. The key, though, is going to be ending up with a team that is a good fit for his skills. Look at Tavon Austin as an example. He's a super talent, but without a QB to get him the ball in the right spots, his numbers suffer.

I would not mind the Switzerland playing the slot for my Panthers after next year of course...The NFL is changing and some of the best WR in the NFL are now 6 feet or shorter...I just hope he gets with a QB that can get him the ball....All about being in the right place at the right time...Glad he is coming back.....

Switz is one of the more exciting players in the college game. So glad to hear he is returning for his Senior year! Enjoy those college years, they are some of the best of your life.

According to Ross Martin @ 247 Switzer , Hollins , Bug , Caleb Peterson and Des Lawrence are the 5 who filed NFL draft paperwork. We already know Switzer is staying. My guess Hollins would be the most likely. That big play speed is loved in the NFL but I really don't know what other speed receivers will be in the draft. What is Hollins' 40 time?

Devin Perry reportedly ran 40 times of 4.47 and 4.45 at Fedora's Freak Show in 2013. I think he's the heir apparent deep threat for the Heels.
Yes we moved on from Trevion Thompson who went to Clemson in favor of Perry because of his speed. I also heard Roscoe Johnson in this year's class(2016) has speed to burn and that's why we took him even though he's rated 2*.
