Whats left of the middle of the Democratic party wanted him to run. To bad for them that the children and the extreme leftists are now in charge, and that means Trump 2020 in an epic landslide. For those who hate Trump they can rejoice in knowing there will be more investigations over nothing. It is what it is.
The democrats are going to run a minority and/or someone that is very liberal. For some reason, they still think identity politics work. They could absolutely destroy Trump if they nominated someone who appeals to independent voters, but they won't do it. It's looking like I'll be hitting the skip button on the ballot when president comes up for me. Same as the last election.

He's winning on name recognition only. Trump was an afterthought at this point in 2015. Obama was too at the start of his campaign in 2007.
I definitely agree. I've always contended that the person who wins the Dem nomination will come out of left field. I hope it's Tulsi Gabbard, just for her foreign policy alone. I might switch from independent to Democrat just to vote for her.
