TAR HEELS ADD EGBUNA TO MEN’S BASKETBALL ROSTER
CHAPEL HILL – The University of North Carolina has added Toby Egbuna to the men’s basketball roster for the 2015-16 season.
Egbuna (pronounced egg-BOO-nuh) is a 6-4, 225-pound senior forward from Clemmons, N.C. He attended West Forsyth High School.
Egbuna has played the previous two seasons on the Tar Heels’ junior varsity team.
“Toby is a great young man,” says UNC head coach Roy Williams. "He did a really nice job on the JV team with Hubert (Davis). He will be asked to help make our team better every day.
“I was literally shaking when Coach Williams told me I was going to be on the team,” says Egbuna. “I have dreamed about playing basketball at Carolina since was 12, and after tearing my ACL my freshman year I kind of thought it would never happen. I am so excited and blessed to have this opportunity and grateful to the coaches for giving me a chance.”
