Love it! I hope they really can resist believing their own press this year! One of the things I fear most is that they will develop an entitled or complacent attitude!
They will have a bigger bull eye on them than normal, with being ranked number one. They will lose a few games, ( estimate a least 3 or 4) since the schedule we play is more difficult than say Gonzaga. Most of us would be satisfied with a number one seed at the conclusion of the ACC tourney, heading into the NCAA. That's just my opinion!
I'll be satisfied with any high seed in the Tourney! As long as the season includes wins over puke and Moo! I expect them to drop a few headscratchers and I expect them to have a few blowout, Blue Steel games! I will fight to avoid thinking we are destined for a Natty but I have no worry that I will ever jump off the wagon if we lose a few! I expected a turnaround at every juncture during the 8-20 season so I am pretty sure I can weather a loss or 2!
Their conference is definitely not at good as the top teams in the acc but the zags have a tougher out of conference schedule than we do. In the long run I believe that’s what hurts them in the tournament. No grind of getting better later on in the season.
