player injuries & diminished practice time due to limited players & injuries. Here is what K-rat said after Dook's OT win against VT:
"I've had to really tone down the practices, and as a result you get slippage, and the main slippage is in defense when you don't practice as much," Krzyzewski said, noting that when Okafor was sidelined this week by a left ankle sprain, the Blue Devils had just seven healthy players for practice.
That quote is from the linked ESPN article.

However, I am SURE that is only because it's Dook. Could PART of our problems be that Roy had to "tone down the practices" (due to all of the injuries to UNC players)? I'm not trying to make excuses; just pointing out that even the great Krzyzewski admits that lack of practice has a dramatic effect.
