rank your own if they aren't on here...i always loved kevin mack and bernie, but clay matthews was just okay...the nigerian nightmare though, wow...he was a beast before beastmode.

i wish i could introduce this to my kids somehow...they play madden, and the graphics are great on the new consoles, but for entertainment purposes, this was it.

do you guys remember when playing the giants that you had to run down every play b/c of l.t.?

forgot how good moon/hill were, wow

To this day, one of my proudest achievements is that I could make an extra point against LT. You had to kick it with juuuusst enough power to get it over the crossbar. One millisecond too long and your holder is toast.

Anybody remember this arcade classic? I remember trying to roll that damn ball as fast as possible, and it would just beat the hell out of your hand!

Here's the thing with Madden and all the new-age sports video games.........they're too realistic. Realism is awesome and a sight to behold, but you give up the "arcade game" fun when you go for realism. They need to bring back games like NFL Blitz and the like. To be honest I'm too young to remember Tecmo Bowl but that's the same concept. The early '90s Sega Genesis Madden games were primitive enough that they were very arcade-y as well. My favorite thing to do was use the Cowboys (Madden '93 I think) and use Emmit Smith and just run around the edge and be faster than everyone.

Old videogames are the best. I still have a working Nintendo 64 and I swear that in a lot of ways, some of those games (Super Smash Bros., Super Mario 64, Star Fox, Goldeneye, Mario Kart) are way better than any videogame made in the past 10 years.

Same here. I still play my 64 and Super Nintendo every now and then. I'd play my NES if it still worked. I like Halo, Call of Duty, etc. but none of today's games will ever compare to the old stuff.

My friends and I play a version of N64 Mario Kart that we call "Beerio Kart" (some also call it "Mario Kart DWI"). It's a lot of fun and an excellent way to pre-game a night out.

emmitt & novacek couldn't be stopped in madden 93.

and don't get me started on nhl 94...perhaps the best video game for a college student ever.

NBA Live '95 was my sports game of the 90s.
I had Sega Genesis instead of NES or SNES. My favorite sports games were...

and...

(I was too young to know any better and it was really the only college basketball game option. I'd use Wake Forest and Tim Duncan would dominate for me).
