Ted Valentine will not be working in the NCAA's this spring.

Aside from his theatrics Ted Valentine is a good official that can handle big stages and do it in a fair and true manner.
I think most fans are completely fine with the officiating, good or bad, as long as their team is playing well.
It is when their team is performing poorly that they lash out at the officiating as an an excuse for their teams poor play.
I have coached and officiated and I can see both points of view.
I don't get caught up in official blaming, it is useless and juvenile.
I would take Ted Valentine doing a UNC game any day.

Valentine gets a bad rap because of being “TV Teddy”. But in truth he is one of the better officials out there. Makes good calls and doesn’t seem to get swayed by atmosphere or the emotion of the game. I am more than fine when I see him on the court

He is a little over the top and seems to fixate on certain calls at times but he is way down the list of officials I hate to see do our games!
