There were some mistakes in the official box score from the Texas game, so to clarify, Joel Berry did have an assist but he was also credited with a turnover as well. Kennedy Meeks was also not credited initially with an assist that he is now credited with and Justin Jackson is now credited with 2 assists instead of 0 from the game. So, UNC had 14 assists, not 10, which was originally part of the official box score.
