i know this was, emotionally, the most difficult season of your coaching life ...losing your best friend to cancer and two months later losing Coach Smith. Thank you for continuing to work your ass off on and off the court. You did a lot with a team that was lacking several key components ....and after a late regular season skid when many UNC "fans" quit on you and the team, you got the guys refocused and prepared for a fun and deeper than expected post season run.

My personal expectations for next season will be higher, all things being the same roster wise ...and I know you and your staff will agree. But for now I'll reflect on another fantastic season from our HoF coach and continue to enjoy watching you work while we're lucky enough to still have you. GO HEELS (and Utah)

Bleed........ VERY VERY well done and I completely agree .Thanks to Roy for the tireless effort you put in to make Carolina basketball great.

Its not all about wins and losses it is more about helping the atudent athletes mature and grow as a person. Does anyone care for his players and university more than Coach Williams I don't think so. Thank you Coach for all of your sacrifices and determination.

Like I've said over and over when somebody bashes Roy,enjoy the ride....when he retires, you'll wish he was still our coach like when Dean stepped down.We were very fortunate he left Kansas bottom line because he loved it there, don't see why people have have such a problem when he supports them. It's hard to break strong ties with your first HC gig no matter who you are.He took this team father than I expected. This team was just never consistant the whole season.

Roy is and will always be the GREATEST Coach of my Era. Born in the late 80's, I don't remember much of Coach Smith.

The only thing I'd love is more TO's and less substituting but I totally understand that Roy plays a super up-tempo style so substitutions are needed. That being said, I hope that Joel James develops some more moves, Kennedy continues to work on his body, JP works on jumper or discontinues shooting them and Marcus can coach up the guards some. There aren't any real additions to this team so have to work with the roster, but if MP steps up as a leader and coaches up some of these kids, sky's the limit.

Looking forward to Justing Jackson and Joel Berry in their Sophomore seasons and I expect big things from Hicks next year. A few bonehead plays late, but Isiah played with a great motor in the tournament and I really like his game.
