Other than some defensive lapses and late free throws, we looked really good against a team that could have embarrassed us if we hadn't come ready to play. Liked what I saw last night, let's keep it up!

Maryland is a good team. If this game was played at Maryland the Heels could have lost the game. If the Heels play them again it will be in the Elite 8 or Final Four. Nice win to get back on track for the #1 seed in the East.

It was indeed, Julez. MD ain't no joke. I thought going into the season that UNC and MD were the legit top 2 teams. Last night confirmed that IMO.

Maryland is indeed a solid team. Trimble is a beast and though I hate to admit it,
Suliamon is a very good player (I cringed every time he hit a shot). Proud of the
Heels. Paige looked great and more healty since mid sophomore year. Berry,
Pinson, Meeks and Brice looked solid and like they wanted to win. Justin was
not dynamic, but played hard. Britt should have been in at the end to hit free
throws. Thank goodness 5 for 12 down the stretch didn't haunt us. Got to
get better or teams will hack us to death at the end of the game.

It was odd to see Berry miss his 3 FTs at the end since he hadn't missed one this season. Berry looked to play harder on D than in previous games maybe a little tired. I was yelling get the ball to MP. They finally do and he misses his two. You could tell his looked to be fatigue, second one was very short on the front of the rim.

They both have a very good shot at winning it all this season. Their is no clear cut favorite in college basketball this season.
