The 2023-2024 Season Looks Bright

Looking ahead to the 2023-24 season, I think we are going to be in good shape. There are some middle school kids right now that know how to ball who love the Tar Heels. I know we are doing amazing so far this year, but lets go ahead and count this season as finished and look ahead a few years. Who else is looking forward to this season being over so we can concentrate on what is important? The 2023-24 season. I hope we are able to schedule some tough road games to see what that team will be made of.

Maybe he didn't provide a link. There was a Tweet I saw earlier about some class ranking for those years, which is obviously absurd. So when I saw this thread I figured it was a take on the ridiculousness of that. If so, obviously lack of context hurts here.

I read the boards every day, just do not post. I actually had a lot of posts from years back. I guess when they changed the board they got erased or something? Who knows. I guess my sarcasm did not come through on my post. It was a frustration/poke thread at the people who are already looking past this year. We have just started this season and are playing incredibly well. Instead of enjoying what we have people are already talking about who may or may not leave early after this season and how good or bad we are going to be. Its like no matter how good our team is some will never care about the present, just the future. I'll stop posting again and "get a life" like was suggested. I guess if someone is not in the inner circle they are not allowed to post. I will just jump into the pessimistic future threads next time. FYI.....we have a game coming up next week for those of you whom are consumed with thinking about Berry going pro. He is playing next week.

I caught your sarcasm Premium1981. Obviously, I would think, we all know they don't have rankings for guys that far in advance. I think your point is very apropos. Let's enjoy the ride this year and worry about the future when/if it becomes necessary.

I for one would hope you would continue to post. It is hard sometimes for folks to really get what we mean when all we have is written words, sarcasm at times gets misunderstood. The guy that said get a life, actually you & he were saying the same thing, not to worry so much about the future as to miss what we have right now. I think he just missed the sarcasm as being you method of making that point.

It is kinda human nature to have one eye on today while the other eye is looking at tomorrow, that doesn't cheapen today but if today is good we all want to dream about it carrying thru to the future.

Don't worry.. They'll be some good 3 star guys we can get in 2023-2024!! LMAO. SMH.

I realize we are all excited about this years squad. But take a look at all these players that are playing for us this year.. 5 star guys and 4 star guys!! A good mix. Most of these players are gone after this year and we're gonna be screwed with not bringing in top 4 star and 5 star talent!! Yes we got a few 4 star guards coming in, but have missed on 5 star and high 4 star forwards and Centers for the last 4+ years.. It's about to catch up with us..BIG TIME! It sucks because this is the greatest place on the plantet to play CBB! Period. but we have lost tons and tons of recruits that would have easily come here in past years! It's now not just the NCAA stuff.. that has faded --- It's something else. UNC isn't cool or hip for some reason now!!??? Our program better get with the times and fast!! Pop Culture is important and we need to bring back the swag!! Then recruits will flock here again!!! Gotta be cool and hip with the kids people...PERIOD!! Many of you want think this matters that much, but I promise you you're dead wrong! I talk with some of the young guys coming up and playing and their feedback is sooooo important! UNC needs to wake up or they will be left behind!!!

Our programs is fine. We've missed on some guys but still have talent coming in. You should just chill out and enjoy it.

Wow. Some peeps need to take a breath! I got the sarcasm from the title of the thread. I agree completely with the sentiment. This has potential to be a special year and Roy has turned the reputation of UNC around 180 degrees, but some will never be satisfied.
