I think JT was originally born in one of those New England states. Anyway, Before I even look.... I’m trying to think of artists from NC. Ben Folds? Dillon Fence? Nantucket?

I had no idea he was from ND. That’s a sample from a Pharcyde song called Runnin’ (cc: @Terror Beard), which in turn is a sample from Saudade Vem Correndo by Stan Getz and Luis Bonfá (2:05 mark). Brazil has produced so much gorgeous music.

I knew a lot of these... especially NC and SC. At least Arkansas has a good country artist.

And, way to go, Delaware! I saw him my senior year in high school at the Civic Center in Raleigh. I jumped onstage after they ended and stole his guitar slide... still have it.

Washington artists include Jimi, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Soundgarden among others. However, people were lined up in stores to hop on the Kenny G train. Makes total sense. To be fair, Nirvana is neck and neck with Kenny. Both have sold over 75 million.

That Pharcyde song is really the only noteworthy song from that album, which was their second and was highly anticipated because of how goddam good their debut album was. But it was disappoint. That song is cool though. And while I guess I figured it was sampled, I had no idea from where. So thanks for the lesson.
