Haha I heard that nobody's there to scratch him line, and thought, is this guy serious? He said similar things as well, I think it was Rowan that shot a three not long after (that he missed) and he said something along the lines of "does he have a scratch? Oh no"

I was surprised (although I probably shouldn't have been) at how giddy the announcers were early when it was 23-10. They seemed to lose their luster once the heels went up by 20 though.

It irritated me that they kept referring to him as Anthony "Cat" Barber. The guy has a name and he has a nickname; why do we have to hear all the names the entire game? Pretty much 100 % of viewers know who he is.

Daaaamn. I missed that one too. I watch the games with my kids these days and I often miss much of the commentary because of their hootin' and hollerin'. I DVR the games so I might go back and look for that. I absolutely love that call - "The Brice is right!" I will use that.

I thought the announcers seemed to have fun calling the game last night from what I could tell, though often I don't pay a ton of attention to them.

Yes! I forgot about that one, I'll have to use that one myself. My gf was on the couch doing work not even paying attention to the game, but looked up when he said that and said "Did I just hear 'The Brice is Right'?"

I tend to agree, with Len Elmore being the obvious exception. I do think announcers tend to subconsciously root for the underdog and that's sometimes reflected in their delivery/commentary.

Roy didn't have to "learn" anything! He followed the same procedure that was passed on from the genius and best coach in history, DES, when he called a timeout with around 3 min. left. UNC doesn't call timeouts before that point unless it is an emergency. WE should have learned when the team figured it out on the fly in the first half without TOs! Gotty called his and we stretched the lead, Miami called all theirs and nothing changed; why are these not proof that TOs are overrated?

Great win against a true rival! I expect nothing intelligent to ever come from Crack fans so I am not surprised by the quote.
