There was very little discipline on D because, in large part, Mack's boys, the position coaches, seemed to feel that they did not have to do everything the way Bateman wanted. Chizik is too big himself to be dismissed that way by Mack's boys. Plus, Warren is far too sound in every sense to allow even a hint of it near him.
Hopefully the loss of Mack's pet Searels works the same way generally for a more disciplined and consistent OL and thus offense.
