Dabo and Clemson are doing it still.

The latest commitment for the Tigers DT Bryan Bresee, who is a 5* and most people's #1 at the position, as well as #1 overall for at least 1 recruit ranking.

That in addition to Clemson already having 2 DT commits for the class, Demonte Capehart and Tre Williams, both of whom are high 4* recruits.

If you have that kind of talent at DT, your have the best 1st step toward playing for a National Championship.

Dabo is doing what Saban has done at Bama and also what Bobby Bowden did at FSU for almost 20 years straight...People forget the run that Bobby had and if we had the playoffs back then like we have now FSU would have been in it just about every year...The reason was that front 7 and the the bench...Hell they had All Pros coming off the bench...

We’re not done yet

Look for Murphy to drop and likely Burch
You think we are going to get Jordan Burch? That would be huge. And a surprise to me.

I think we do have an excellent chance to land Myles Murphy. And I think we're in good shape to land Desmond Evans. But they are both DEs. We need a top DT in this class too.

Yeah, in the end we'll wind up with Burch and Murphy (GA) as our bookend defensive ends for this class with Bresee being the utility knife. Burch likes UofSC but when you guys start their downward spiral opening weekend the reality of where he needs to go will become evident as will the remaining beatings they're going to take the rest of the year. I hope you guys land Murphy (NC) and rub it in the Cocks' open wound. I like Mack and expect him to do good things for you guys.

UNC is in good company here....

On Tuesday, Blazer testified under direct examination that he directed payments to football players from Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Northwestern and North Carolina between the years 2000 and up until 2013-14.

Blazer also testified he paid money to a former first-round pick from North Carolina who was drafted in 2009 by the New York Giants. Blazer's testimony correlates to former UNC wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. Blazer testified that after paying the UNC player and procuring his services, he successfully went on to recruit other North Carolina football players.

There is no hint of school involvement in these transactions.....more of a rogue agent and athlete thing.

We've had discussions in the past about agents and those they employ luring players. I think states should have laws that make it a felony for anyone to induce a scholarship athlete to do things that would place the school on probation. As of now, for most of this, the schools get probation for things that coaches did not do, while the agents get off with slaps on wrists or nothing. Let the dirty agents spend time in jail and pay a hefty fine, covering the cost of the probation their bribes cost the school.

That will be a National Championship caliber DL in 1 recruiting class.

I know how the alma mater can call you, but Dabo would be crazy to leave Clemson to replace Saban. If he retires there, he will be Bear Bryant for Clemson - revered more than loved and respected. At Bama. every failure to win it all will mean he is compared negatively to both Bryant and Saban.

ACC football needs UNC to step up so that the league has 2 programs that good, year after year.

I’m a Clemson fan, was browsing your board after looking at your commitment list... Nice class thus far

Murphy(GA) is almost a done deal to CU. If not CU, he’s bound for Athens

Burch is likely a CU guy, but the past few weeks have shown promising for South Carolina. Hammond is all USC... coaching staff is all cock, and Muschamp’s son is in school there and on the team. Lots of pressure to go to Columbia, but we think he’s coming to CU

I’m going against my raising here, but good luck on the recruiting trail. Plenty of talent in the Carolinas and VA for UNC to choose from

There are two 4* Myles Murphy, a georgian who committed to Clemson and the Greensboro kid who is not yet committed. At least we're in it for the latter.
Greensboro Murphy would be a great SDE paired with Evans. That would be Clemson level DL talent.

I think he is a lean to SoCar.

Let’s get back to beating the instate people before we worry about Clemson...They are on a level now that FSU was when Mack was here the 1st time...

Thank you. We have to learn to walk again before we can run. If we concentrate on winning our division, we’ll get a shot at Clemson. Let’s see if we can become a consistent favorite to win the Coastal first.

i certainly agree with you guys that beating clemson in the acc title game is not an immediate goal. but we were talking about recruiting. recruiting against a dynasty is an immediate concern.

Greensboro Murphy is definitely using an Official Visit to Chapel Hill. He may lean to the wrong Carolina now, but we still have a shot.

I also think that he would have a better shot winning a division title playing for Mack at UNC than he would playing for Muschamp at SoCar.

You're not wrong. One good thing about the current class is that we are getting a lot of highly rated 4* guys. Many of them wouldn't get much PT at Clemson, but they are definitely a step up from the talent we are used to. Building a foundation of hungry, hardworking 4* guys can get us close enough to challenge Clemson for an ACC title. And once we're in the mix, more of the 5* guys will start coming our way.
