Whiplash is exactly what came to mind with Tyus jones today. He has to practice over the summer. He should at least save his flopping for when there is a defender close enough to touch him. Do you really think the day teaches the dooshies that? Or is it tradition passed down by their dbag players? What an embarrassing and classless trademark of a program, well know. dook started that whiplash mess a couple of years ago and others have picked it up... Louisville for example.
Before that Reddick started the offensive flop (kicking his feet out and then flopping like he got hit on a jump shot.
And before that there was the "Paulus" on defense where they flop even when the offensive player isn't within 2 feet of them (Jones pulled that one twice today but it didn't get called).
And before that there was the "Full Battier" where the defender flops and pulls the offensive player down with him.
Oh wait... I left out the "Plumlee" where the defender purposely runs into and/or undercuts the offensive player then has the audacity to flop (ask Tyler Zeller about that one --- cost us a dook game).
Let's add a new one: The "Jones" where you make an out-of-control drive, throw up a prayer and flop like you were blindsided by Dick Butkus,
In all seriousness, that sort of crap is not spontaneous, it is taught and condoned by the Coach... and it's a disgrace to the game.
Is that what that is? I didn't want to say anything because I just figured Jones had some form of Tourette's syndrome that I wasn't aware of.
This is why I hate Duke and Coach K. They can't win without this bullcrap. He is not a leader of men, he is a leader of cowards. The NCAA is a joke. K and the NCAA go hand in hand, corrupt and full of crap. Any other college that had a play get $72,000 would be investigated heavily. Duke, hell no.
The sad thing is you see that happening ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! The even sadder part? The refs usually whistle a foul when the guys do it regardless of the amount of contact actually made.
