Just watched the UVa/NCSU game and UVa b*tch-slapped them. I realize UVa is a better team and at home after a big loss... but, state sucks. They're 3-10 in the conference. A long-time friend of mine (we go back to middle school) who was a State fan from birth says that Gottfried's days are numbered. I dunno. I would say that I think he's got some decent players and has had some very good players and has very little to show for it.

Those two teams are the 'Heels next road games. No matter how bad they capitulated today the Pack will get up for next Wednesday in Raleigh. Beating the Cavs at home will be tough but it's the sort of road win Roy's team needs right now.

Agreed Oz, but first we need to hold serve at home Wednesday. ALL of the next several games are big for the Heels. They will largely determine if we are a 1 seed or a 3 seed. Time to man up. This is where things get interesting.

The topic was intended to be how poorly Gottfried has done with the talent he's had. Overall, they seem to be in decline.

He's a HORRIFIC in-game coach. Not sure about preparation and practice ... solid recruiter obviously. But he's often times complete lost during games, especially making defensive adjustments. He's got one good Assistant (Bobby Lutz) but the rest are jokers, from what I've seen.

He has arguably the most talented PG in the league and some solid interior players. There is no doubt they are the biggest underachievers in the ACC. Can't believe they extended his contract through '20. Frau Yow's incompetence knows no bounds.

Double digit losses in basketball for a decade now, and still counting. I freakin' love to see their misery! Does any fanbase deserve it more?

Couldn't agree more, and hope their downward spiral continues, and gets worse but not bad enough to fire Gottfried!....

The way players transfer out of Raleigh there is no telling who will be left to laugh at next year. He gets good talent but a heck of a lot of it has transferred out after a year or 2. Makes me laugh just a little bit more!
