The UNC-Jordan relationship

Jordan bringing in $3 billion on the sale of the hornets. There's also this

He spent 1.8 billion I think to buy?

There are also reports that he has taken a bath lately with investments, and that is why he sold. He infamously lost a half a Billion on the Game Stop short sell effort overnight that he bought into just as the little ol' gamers jumped in and saved the company and made huge profits doing so.

It's all relative when you are losing and cashing out BILLIONS though.

I watched the movie “Air” the other night. That is such a cool story & if it gains popularity, I can’t see it doing anything but helping UNC, particularly if Jordan is able to become more involved. Props to Sonny Vacarro who had a vision, and to Delores Jordan who was “low key” a trendsetter and had visions of her own, & more importantly had her sons best interest at heart.

I would like the basketball staff to set up about 20 folding chairs in an ancillary room at DES, schedule a
meeting for the players and ….. the door pops open and in walks Michael.
Coaches exit and # 23 talks to them from the heart for about an hour. No phones, no iPads, no whiteboard
strategies. The 23-24 squad and Mike. That’s it.

I thought it was 275 million. A drop in the bucket compared to the selling price.

He still seems to be doing ok. It's been reported that he makes $100+ million a year from Nike. The important part of the story is that he can be involved with the school more. Hopefully he does that.
