Theo's impact for our team definitely goes beyond the stat sheets, even though you know he is at is best when he is stuffing them. His impact is whatever we need it to be and it changes per game, but what doesn't change is how he looks to make everyone else around him better and the team more successful. His ability to affect the game in so many different ways and fulfill the roles of all 5 positions is what makes him so valuable. We have seen it this year that when he is in that Aggressive Swiss Army Knife mode he is one tough dude to stop, every time he is on the floor he needs to play with that WILL. Imo, he can be our X-factor and if he gets going, so can we, the NC State game was a big one for Theo and he needs to build on that performance, not necessarily in the scoring sense, but how he was able to take over the game, because he has the ability to do so in some many different ways.
And then it gets to his personality which may be his most important trait. Theo is a vocal leader as he’s the guy that is able to get Joel wired right, is able to give the young guys (Sterling) extra confidence, moves our guys on the floor and provides them with that extra energy boost. Also, how he drives Coach Williams nuts by crashing his pressers and making wise cracks, but is always able to get him to laugh and smile and say "Here comes Daddy." And that is why Theo is such a great player/person because he has that ability to bring out the best in people.
He is proof of the Carolina Family as he makes it his effort to connect with each of his teammates and it shows in how they gravitate to him. We are very lucky to have Theo because I can assure you this that when his playing days are done in Chapel Hill, he will always be one of those guys that is there for the current players and is willing to help them. It is just who he is and my favorite line, "It is just Theo being Theo."
