I do not like this game for us right now because our ONLY front court guy with beef is Bacot and folks, that should is still a problem, he was grabbing at it vs Citadel. OSU has a lot of beef in their front court, may not be as long but they have those big guys with girth that physically roots out room. Even a 100% Bacot would have his hands full but with that injured wing he is going to be limited. Nance nor Washington have the girth to deal with that physical "bully ball" from the wide body types.
This one may come down to what type of game the refs call, will they allow overly physical play or will they call the fouls and will they be consistent from 1 half to the other?
I am concerned that OSU will make the passes in to the paint harder, will try to muck up anything inside the paint, will we be smart enough to not fall in to that trap of going 1 on 1 and settling for hard treys that has been our nature when things get harder to find on the inside. The key to our winning is going to be shot efficiency based on good shot selection (making the good to better shot extra pass) and rebounding the ball. This is darn sure a test that will show if this team has really learned from the last 2 games and are able to build on it or if they get punched in the mouth and revert back to pumping up hard shots out side of the flow which has been our nature in to many games this season.
This being in MSG makes this a really big game for us with Hubert really wanting to rebuild our NY foot print, it would be a huge win for us if we can pull it off but I just don't like the timing of this one.
