THI Get Together - ONE Week Away

Next Saturday, Aug. 19, is our scheduled THI get together at Carolina Brewery on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. It begins at 4 p.m.

A few things to know: We would love for UNC fans that are not premium subscribers to THI to attend, and anyone who does will get a card with a pass code to sign up for a free 30-day trial to THI.

Now, this is a pay-as-you-go event. It's a THI meet-and-greet, but we are not technically hosting in the traditional sense. While we are trying to work with Carolina Brewery to get some kind of Happy Hour deal, we can't guarantee it.

To help us get a good gauge of how many people to expect, if you didn't in the previous thread, please let us know if you are planning on attending and if you will have anyone with you.

Remember, anyone that doesn't have a subscription but attends will get a card with a code on it for a free 30-day trial.

I expect almost the entire staff to be there, and I speak for them saying we can't wait to meet all of you.

I originally planned to attend, but the fam has since made plans to travel south to get in position to see the eclipse on Monday. I have to say I was really looking forward to this get together, & meeting many of you fellow posters, but the possibility is greater that I'll get to attend another THI get together than I will get to see another total solar eclipse. Sorry, I will not be able to make it.

AJ, I doubt I can make it- but a good friend of mine is the GM there. If you want, I can text him regarding the Happy Hour thing. I can pretty much guarantee he'll come up with some kind of a deal if you want me to give him a shout. How many are you expecting?

I've talked to people there and they know we are coming.
