Junior defensive end Dajaun Drennon is not listed on UNC’s depth chart this week despite the Pitt game being his target for a return to action. As THI has been regularly reporting, Drennon has been making progress toward his return, but last week some of the information dried up and we weren’t exactly sure by the end of the week where he stood.
However, according to multiple sources close to the situation, as of Monday evening, Drennon is expected to return this weekend. How much he can play is still uncertain and much will depend on how practice goes this week. - AJ
Rick Sandidge, a 4-star 018 DL from Concord, NC, has named UNC and South Carolina as his top two programs. Sandidge visited South Carolina this past weekend and could be back in Chapel Hill this weekend, though it has not been finalized. – Deana King
Xach Gill, a 4-star DL from Wake Forest (NC) H.S. told THI on Monday that he is not at all interested in Clemson, thus he won’t be joining former teammate Dexter Lawrence in Death Valley. In fact, multiple sources close to the situation have told THI they believe UNC is the school to beat for Gill. – Deana King
