According to a source very close to the situation, former UNC commit 4-star WR Ryan Jones of Charlotte (Mallard Creek) may have been legitimately humbled by being kicked off the team a few weeks ago. Jones was let back on the team not longer after, but it appears the message sent was well received and he's been a different teammate and player since.
In Mallard Creek's most recent game, Jones, who decommitted from UNC right after the suspension (we reported UNC dropped him and stand by that), caught 5 passes for 125 yards and 2 TDs. And apparently UNC may still be interested in him as long as he can continue on his recent path. If so, Jones is still interested in being a Tar Heel.
