GG will soon be making a decision on where he wants to play basketball. UNC,USC and Duke are the most popular choices. While I can see the home state appeal of USC, it lacks the blue blood reputation of UNC and Duke. The fan presence and players experience will certainly be muted compared to the atmosphere of a Dean Dome or Cameron. GG and his parents seem to look beyond the basketball experience and consider the personal growth of the student athlete as well. I hope they see the piss poor attitude of the Duke coaches displayed after losing last night. There should always be respect between opponents after the game is over. The fact that Duke coaches failed to shake the hand of coach Davis shows some of the poor traits the coaches have learned under coach K. While coach K has had an amazing career, he has often failed to rein in poor sportsmanship( Grayson Allen constant tripping with a loss of one whole game penalty), blatant attacks against opposing players ( Montross and Hansborough), and now this assistant coach showing disrespect. A true leader would have handled the events with more discipline to evoke a point and make it a teachable moment. Coach K has not said one word about his assistant coach even as the media has made a point of showing the transgression. I hope GG and his parents see these lack of character examples and entrust Hubert with their precious son in the hope of making him into a better man.
